wild anatomy
I don’t really know when nature started to feel so personal to me.
Somewhere along the way, I stopped seeing leaves as just leaves. Their veins began to resemble fragile tissue beneath skin. Moss started to feel comforting somehow ... soft, alive, quietly reclaiming whatever it touches. Even roots began to look almost human to me, like arteries or capillaries.
These pieces grew slowly from that feeling.
The more time I spend observing these small details, the more connected everything feels.
These pieces all grew out of that quiet fascination.
Two hearts — one completely overtaken by moss, another split open with life growing back through the wound. An eye held together by roots and moss instead of skin. Burned leaves so fragile they feel like they could disappear in your hands, carrying bees and bumblebees within their delicate structures.
I stitched these works while thinking a lot about fragility. About how small and vulnerable living things really are, and yet how hard they fight to exist anyway.
Maybe that’s why I make these pieces.
Because I’m afraid of how much beauty we are learning to live without.
These are original textile works, not prints.
The leaves are framed in a black shadow box with glass (20 × 20 cm / 8 × 8 in), pinned onto foam so they float slightly and throw a soft, sculptural shadow on the background. All leaves are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.
Both hearts and eye are stretched on quality artist canvas (20x20cm / 8x8 in) and fit snuggly in a floating frame.
Please note, that frames are not included, but can be provided by me if you prefer your artwork framed.
Choose the artwork that resonates with you most - the one which feels closest to your own anatomy.

Moss has always felt like the quiet proof of that: soft, resilient, endlessly forgiving. It grows back over what we damage, fills in the fractures, and keeps doing the work we rarely notice. We fight the very system that sustains us, yet it continues to hold us up anyway.
This piece is a reminder that we are all living on life support … kept here by the green world we take for granted, the one still trying to heal us while we learn, slowly, to stop hurting it.

a queen adrift in her own undoing.
Hope tastes of cinder now.
Charred openings scar the Lutradur leaf like smoke trapped in fabric. At its center, a bumblebee queen drifts through the aftermath of her own collapse, suspended between power and fragility. The piece tastes of burned sweetness, where survival has edged into exhaustion.

the last to breathe

This heart is cut open, vulnerable, unable to hide the damage …and still, moss begins to grow from within it. Quietly. Patiently. As if life itself is trying to reclaim the wound rather than erase it.
I think we often imagine healing as becoming whole again, but nature rarely works that way. Forests regrow after fires. Trees continue around broken branches. Moss spreads across scarred surfaces without asking whether they deserve softness or repair.
Maybe survival isn’t about remaining untouched. Maybe it’s simply about finding a way to stay alive anyway.

alive anyway

For this piece, I wanted the eye to feel as though nature itself was reclaiming it. Roots become eyelids, moss replaces fur, and the boundary between animal and landscape begins to disappear.
There’s something both comforting and unsettling about that idea to me. As if nature isn’t separate from us at all, but slowly weaving itself back through everything we are.
Maybe this piece is about being watched by the wild world we so often forget to truly see.

the knowing wild

the leaf turns to comb, the gold still breathes.
A bee circles what once was plenty.
Silence drips slow, like memory.
The leaf shifts into a honeycomb: hexagonal structures stitched into burned Lutradur, holding the echo of sweetness long gone. A single bee hovers in this fractured abundance, circling absence where nectar once flowed. The work rests in the ache between plenty and depletion, where memory still glows golden.
