of hope and decay -
framed originals
These eight leaves are small witnesses to a world in transition. For this series, I burn Lutradur back to its veins and stitch into what remains – tigers, owls, bees, foxes, bones and gold appearing where the fabric is most fragile. Each piece sits at the edge between what is still breathing and what is already disappearing.
Every leaf carries its own short poem and a quiet last role: The Last to Mourn, The Last to Know, The Last to Gather, The Last to Breathe, The Last to Wander, The Last to Fall, The Last to Sing, The Last to Rise. Together, they map a slow, painful kind of goodbye - and the thin threads of hope we still try to pull through it.
These are original textile works, not prints.
Each one is framed in a black shadow box with glass (20 × 20 cm / 8 × 8 in), pinned onto foam so it floats slightly and throws a soft, sculptural shadow on the background. All leaves are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.
Choose the leaf that resonates with you most - the one whose “last” feels closest to your own sense of this moment in time.
I am here for questions, queries or if you would like help choosing a piece ... I am just an email or DM away.
How to purchase:
Email or message me the piece number and your country of residence (for postage calculations). After I have checked for availability, answered all your questions and you are happy to go with your selected leaf, I will send you an invoice via Paypal.
If you prefer bank transfer, I am happy to go with that too.
All pieces ship from Vienna, Austria. World Wide Shipping available.
Thank you for supporting my small art business, my dreams, my visions and my love for this planet and its species.
Enjoy clicking through the galleries!

the leaf turns to comb, the gold still breathes.
A bee circles what once was plenty.
Silence drips slow, like memory.
The leaf shifts into a honeycomb: hexagonal structures stitched into burned Lutradur, holding the echo of sweetness long gone. A single bee hovers in this fractured abundance, circling absence where nectar once flowed. The work rests in the ache between plenty and depletion, where memory still glows golden.

#1 the last to gather

a queen adrift in her own undoing.
Hope tastes of cinder now.
Charred openings scar the Lutradur leaf like smoke trapped in fabric. At its center, a bumblebee queen drifts through the aftermath of her own collapse, suspended between power and fragility. The piece tastes of burned sweetness, where survival has edged into exhaustion.

#2 the last to breathe

a memory humming through hollow gold.
Where ruin warms the thought of wings again.
Delicate golden ribs arch across the leaf like the cage of a vanished bird, cradling a soft bed of moss where a body should be. Song has left, but the structure that once held it remains, warmed now by threads of green. The work hovers between ruin and the faint imagination of wings returning.

#3 the last to sing

The quiet between us is a grave, and your eyes are the last to mourn.
A burned Lutradur leaf holds the ghost of a tiger’s gaze between its torn veins. Fine stitched stripes cut through the fragile surface like warnings that came too late, while the eye watches in a silence that feels almost accusatory. This piece lingers in the moment when we finally notice the loss – long after the damage is done.

#4 the last to mourn

an eye glows beneath the moss’s breath.
Even decay learns to see anew.
A Lutradur leaf fades from deep brown at the base to a pale golden hue toward the tip, as if the color itself is slowly disappearing. Nestled within this gentle gradient, a fox’s eye glows beneath a small patch of moss, where softness begins to reclaim the wound. The piece moves between fading and renewal, holding on to the quiet, watchful wildness that still lingers at the edge of loss.

#5 the last to wander

an eye remembers what the world forgets.
Truth comes softly, after the fall.
In this leaf, the bright, unblinking eye of an owl is cradled by a network of fading veins. Light and shadow trace the edge between clarity and erasure, as if the leaf itself is remembering what we preferred not to see. It becomes a witness: the one who knew, who watched, who could not stop the fall.

#6 the last to know

a fragile echo of what was whole.
What breaks still carries light.
Gold clings to a torn Lutradur leaf like the last light on a crumbling edge. The fractures cut through the shimmer, exposing the fragility beneath the surface. It is both relic and warning: beauty stretched thin over something that can no longer hold.

#7 the last to fall

a skeleton of shadows stitched from heat.
In ruin, the light remembers how to lift.
A blackened Lutradur leaf has been burned back almost to its veins, a stark skeleton stretched against the light. The holes read like scorch marks and missing histories, yet the remaining structure still reaches outward. In this charred quiet, the piece suggests that even after collapse, something in us remembers how to lift.
